Scripture References



The world around us is suffering under the hand of the enemy but it can be saved by, only by, the supernatural power of God. 

  • Act 10:38 - You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:25-27 - For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.  The last enemy that will be abolished is death.  For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.

  • Hebrews 2:8 - “YOU HAVE PUT EVERYTHING IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET."  For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him.  But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

The blood of Christ is enough, 

  • Matthew 28:18 - And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”

  • Romans 8:2 - For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

  • Hebrews 9:26 - But now He has appeared at the fulfillment of the ages to abolish sin once and for all by the sacrifice of Himself.

  • 1 John 1:7 - The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.

His grace is sufficient 

  • Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves.  It is the gift of God—not a result of works—so that no one may boast.

  • 2 Peter 1:3 - His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

and His goodness never ends, 

  • Lamentations 3:22-23 - The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, for His compassions do not fail.  They are new every morning.  Great is Your faithfulness.

  • Matthew 7:11 - So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

  • Romans 8:28, 31-32 - And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose... What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also, with Him, freely give us all things?

  • James 1:17 - Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

but He has given this world to mankind

  • Genesis 1:26-28 - Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.”  So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him—male and female He created them.  God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

  • Psalm 115:16 - The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, but the earth He has given to the sons of mankind. 

  • Matthew 16:19 - I will give you the keys of heaven’s kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven, and to release on earth that which is released in heaven.

  • Romans 8:19-21 - For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

and is longing for us, His church, to rise up in partnership with Him.  

  • Matthew 10:7-8 - And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven has come near.'  Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons.  Freely you received, freely give.

  • Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

  • John 14:12 - Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also—and greater works than these he will do, because I am going to the Father.

We can do it!  Anyone who believes can advance the Kingdom of Heaven, 

  • Matthew 16:19 - I will give you the keys of heaven’s kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven, and to release on earth that which is released in heaven.

  • Romans 15:18-19 - For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit, so that I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 - Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

person by person and region by region, 

  • Luke 17:21 - For behold, the kingdom of God is within you (in your midst).

  • 2 Corinthians 4:15 - For all things are for your sakes, so that grace, having spread to more and more people, will cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

until we are ready to give back to Jesus a healed, whole world that has been transformed for His glory!

  • Psalms 22:27 - All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.

  • Habbakuk 2:14 - For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

  • Matthew 24:14 - This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

  • Ephesians 5:27 - that He might present to Himself the church, glorious, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she would be holy and blameless.

The Kingdom of Heaven is expanded around us when we follow the example of Jesus:

  • John 14:12 - Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also—and greater works than these he will do, because I am going to the Father.

Pursue the heart of the Father, and surrender to His Holy Spirit. 

  • Matthew 16:24-25 - Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”

  • John 14:5-7 - Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going; how do we know the way?"  Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.  If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.  From now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

  • John 15:10 - If you keep My commandments you will remain in My love—just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

  • Philippians 2:5-7 - Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men.

  • Hebrews 9:14 - Christ offered Himself to God, without blemish, through the eternal Spirit.

When Christ demonstrated the Father’s heart 

  • John 1:18 - No one has seen God at any time.  God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.

  • John 14:6-9 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.  If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.  From now on you know Him, and have seen Him."  Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."  Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip?  The one who has seen Me has seen the Father.  How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

  • Colossians 1:15 - He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

  • Hebrews 1:3 - And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature.

He offered life and abundance, 

  • John 2:6-7 - Now there were six stone waterpots standing there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing two or three measures each.  Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.”  So they filled them up to the brim.  (*Making 108 to 162 gallons of wine.)

  • John 6:11-13 - Jesus then took the loaves, and after giving thanks He distributed them to those who were reclining—likewise also of the fish, as much as they wanted.  And when they had eaten their fill, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the leftover pieces so that nothing will be lost.”  So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with pieces from the five loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.

  • John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.  I came so that they would have life, and have abundance.

  • John 21:6 - And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you will find the fish.”  So they cast it, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great quantity of fish.

  • Romans 8:2 - For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

healed everyone who asked, 

  • Matthew 12:15 - Many followed Him, and He healed them all.

  • Luke 4:40-41 - Now while the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him and He was laying His hands on each one of them and healing them.  Demons also were coming out of many…

removed demonic influence, 

  • Matthew 12:28 - But if I cast out the demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

  • Luke 4:18 - THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO BRING GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR.  HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED.

  • Acts 10:38 - God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power, and he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

  • 1 John 3:8 - The Son of God was revealed for this purpose:  To destroy the devil’s works.

shared His Spirit without limits,

  • John 3:34 - For He whom God sent speaks the words of God, for He gives the Spirit without measure.

  • John 7:37-39 - Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.  The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"  But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive, for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

  • Acts 13:52 - And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

gave away His peace, 

  • John 14:27 - Peace I leave you.  My peace I give you—not as the world gives, do I give to you.  Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.

  • John 16:33 - These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you have tribulation, but take courage—I have overcome the world.

preached the forgiveness of sins, 

  • Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord anointed me to bring good news to the humble.  He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to captives and freedom to prisoners.

  • John 20:22-23 - And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.  I send you to preach the forgiveness of sins—and people’s sins will be forgiven.  But if you don’t proclaim the forgiveness of their sins, they will remain guilty.”

and radically gave,

  • All of Matthew 5.

even unto death.  

  • John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.

  • Philippians 2:8 - And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death—death on a cross.

These examples of “doing what the Father is doing,”

  • John 1:18 - No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.

  • John 5:19 - Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself unless it is something He sees the Father doing—for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in the same way.”

  • John 14:10 - Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me?  The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own, but the Father, as He remains in Me, does His works.

  • John 17:25-26 - Righteous Father, the world has not known you. However, I have known you, and they have known that you sent me. 26 I made your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have loved me with may be in them and I may be in them.”

and many more, are invitations. They can be performed by anyone who surrenders to the power and direction of His Spirit.

  • John 14:12 - Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also—and greater works than these he will do, because I am going to the Father.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 - Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Holy Spirit is the One who heals the person, place, or situation, but He does it through partnership with yielded believers.

  • Romans 15:19 - in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit… I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

  • 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 - Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, 22 who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

  • John 16:13-15 - But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will disclose to you what is to come.  He will glorify Me, for He will take from Mine and will disclose it to you.  All things that the Father has are Mine. This is why I said that He takes from Mine and will disclose it to you.

  • Ephesians 4.16 - From Him, the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part.

Christ made His Spirit available to everyone by what He accomplished on the cross!

  • Exodus 26:33-34 - And you shall hang the veil from the clasps, and bring the ark of the testimony in there within the veil. And the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy.

  • Mark 15:38 - And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.

  • Hebrews 10:19-20 - Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, through His flesh.

  • John 7:37-39 - Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.  The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"  But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive, for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

  • John 15:4-5 - Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.
